So proud of our team!!! uOttaHack is the University of Ottawa’s student-led hackathon. About a year ago, I led and founded a team of 18 students to organize this event. Check out my blog post about uOttaHack: 'Building a Hackathon Community.' It's a behind-the-scenes look at planning, a thank you to participants ❤️, and a reflection. Also don’t forget to check out our recap video below! A picture video is worth a thousand words…
What is uOttaHack?
uOttaHack is the University of Ottawa’s student-led hackathon event. A hackathon is essentially an idea marathon where students collaborate to solve real-world technical challenges. This year, we hosted over 500 students from across North America and partnered with 25 sponsors, including Nokia, AWS, Microsoft, Solace, and others. We were supported by numerous fantastic mentors and volunteers. Most importantly, the event was filled with opportunities for learning, making friends, and having fun!
