What is uOttaHack?
uOttaHack has been the University of Ottawa’s student-led hackathon since 2017, bringing together students from across North America to learn, collaborate, and build through hackathons and community events. My first experience with uOttaHack was in 2020 as a high school volunteer—my first exposure to the world of tech—and an experience that played a significant role in my decision to pursue computer science the following year.
So proud of our team! About a year ago, after uOttaHack had been inactive, I led a team of 18 students to bring it back. Check out my blog post below for a deeper look into the planning, a thank you to participants, and a reflection on the journey ❤️
